What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text). You may also give a contact phone number for your account. It is optional, it is not shown publicly, and giving it does not sign you up for text messages. When you build your truck's profile, we store what you choose to add — your truck name, menu, schedule, contact details, and any photos you upload. When customers or event planners visit your public storefront, the storefront doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and the app doesn't record individual visits.
How we use it
Your account and business data are used to run the product you signed up for: your public storefront, your Business Center, and the features you actively use. We do not sell your data to third parties. We send only the emails needed to run the service: account verification, password reset, account activation, trial reminders, booking notifications, and the estimates, invoices, and agreements you send to customers. We don't send newsletters or marketing email.
Your data
Your business data is stored in your account. Self-service data export and self-service account deletion are not available yet. To ask for either, email info@onlyfoodtrucks.com. Deleting a truck from your Business Center removes that truck's data.
Public information
Anything you choose to publish on your public storefront — your menu, your schedule, your photos, your contact information — is, by design, publicly visible to anyone with the link. Don't publish anything you don't want customers or event planners to see.
Marketplace listings
A live Marketplace listing shows its title, description, price or pay text, location text, photos, and the phone number and email address you provide for it. Anyone who can open the listing can see these details. Publishing Marketplace ads is not yet open.
Ordering for pickup
Some trucks let you place a pickup request from their page. We ask only for a name so the truck knows whose order it is. We do not ask for your phone number, email address or payment details, and we do not send you messages. You pay the truck directly. Your name is shown to that truck. We remove it from our live database 30 days after your order ends, or 30 days after the truck's stop if the order was never finished. The rest of the order, such as the items, prices, times and status, may be kept after your name is removed. Backups, restore history and records held by our hosting providers are kept according to their own retention policies, which may be longer than 30 days. To have your name removed from our live database sooner, contact us.
Text alerts (SMS)
If you turn on lead alerts by text, we collect your mobile number, your time zone, quiet hours and alert choices, a record of your agreement (the wording you agreed to, its version, the time, your IP address and your browser), any STOP, START or HELP replies, and whether each text was delivered. We use this only to send the alerts you asked for, to honor your replies, and to keep a record of your consent.
We use Twilio to send texts and verification codes. Twilio receives your mobile number and the content of each text only to deliver it.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your text-message opt-in, or your consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Removing your number under Account > Notifications deletes it from your text settings. We keep the record of your agreement and replies, which includes the number, as proof of consent. The terms of the program are in ourTerms of Use.
